I am Inspired!

For the last year, I have been inspired by so many friends, colleagues, moms, and relatives. I always try to learn from those around me, but this year really brought several folks to my attention through their actions and words.  To begin, I started this blog not because I am this die-hard writer and not because I have so much insight in the world.  I really just needed a place to give credit to my finds, to reflect on my changing world, and to record my memories (have I mentioned how bad my memory is?)

So my start comes from a dear friend, Debra, who I have known for 15 years.  I started out as her rush counselor at the University of Northern Colorado.  By chance, she joined my sorority and my life was never the same.  In the 15 years, I have watched this amazing woman reflect more on her life than an antique mirror on the wall.  She has faced so much adversity in life and she just keeps getting better in spite of those challenges.  Debra is going to move ... soon... and out of the country.  I will miss her so, but I will keep her up to-date with life in the States, specifically in my neck of the woods, just as her blog keeps me abreast of her world.  Her spirit and desire to reinvent her life makes me strive to be a better person, a better friend.  So here's to Debra! Dewey are my eyes...
